To speak apparently is easy, but sometime you need to speak in public, and explain to other people facts, ideas or opinions, and this is not all. Many times, you need to convince those people first to listen to you, then to accept or agree with what you said. Other times you need only to present news, or to make statements. So many times is happening to be necessary to talk about a subject in front of people, and to have a very hard time because of the emotions, stress, and fear of people reactions, smiles, or noises. For these reasons, you must be well prepared to make a public speech, so I try to give you several steps witch can make your speech to sound good.
First, you must choose your subject to talk and take care to be well documented, in order to create the speech. For that, you need to collect all the important information necessary about the subject. More than that, you must organize all the information to fit the public in such way to be attractive, short and clear. A very good idea is to write a plan witch will help you to express yourself more concise. Another good idea is to use all materials witch can help you to visualize an image for the subject. In addition, the computers, maps and charts, or any other video/audio material are a perfect support when you present facts, ideas, opinions, or any other subjects.
Other thing witch request attention when you are preparing to keep a speech is the way to use all possible feelings to create atmosphere for your subject, like body language, voice, clothing and materials used to present the facts. If you are careful and present yourself using the correct clothing for the event, and your body maintains a straight position and your voice is loud and clear, the impact with the public is already in a good direction, because the first impression is very powerful, and can give or take away your chance to attract the public. A very important detail is to take care that all materials to be presented are in perfect condition, well organized, and very much to the point.
A significant place is occupied by your exit. It is essential to let a good impression, and the feeling of interest about the subject. That can be achieved simple, if you will be brief, clear and pointed to the subject. Try to give a summary instead of a long and boring, endless story. In addition, it is useful to be capable to make a short joke if you make a mistake, and then to jump fast at the next topic of your speech. A lot of help you can have from friends if they will listen to you and comment your plan speech before to present yourself in front of the public.
In conclusion, it is not easy to give a speech, but if you respect several rules everything became possible. Keep in your mind the idea of how interesting it is the subject and how credible is the speaker, and imagine yourself being the public. If you change the shoes with your public and you still feel good listening that speech, this mean you made it!
